Gary
D. Wright Elementary School has a rich tradition of commemorating the start of
each school year with a balloon release. On Tuesday, August 18, we celebrated our First Day of School for the 2015-2016 academic year with an all-school gathering where we invited our families to join us around our
school’s flagpole as we recited the Pledge of Allegiance and Wildcat Creed, followed by each classroom
participating in the balloon release sponsored by our tremendously supportive
PTO. Happy First Day of School, GDW! Here's to the start of a successful year!
