We were so excited to engage in our very first assembly of the school year at Gary D. Wright Elementary School! As part of our efforts to teach and positively reinforce our school-wide expectations of being respectful, responsible, and ready to learn, we taught our students what those expectations would look like and sound like during an assembly. When individual students demonstrate GDW's school-wide expectations, also referred to as "The Three R's", staff members can recognize them by awarding them with a Pawsome Card. Throughout the school year, students will have opportunities to redeem their Pawsome Cards for cool prizes and experiences. During our assembly, we previewed The Wildcat Cart, which will feature a variety of prizes and experiences that students can redeem their pawsome cards for throughout the school year. To showcase some of these rewards, we raffled off opportunities for students to sit in a comfy chair during the assembly, to be a special helper for the day, and to help with the morning announcements. Our Wildcats have been demonstrating The Three R's and are earning Pawsome Cards! Way to go, Wildcats!
