GDW's fifth grade students participated in their first assembly of the year today! To help expose our students to band and orchestra instruments including the way they look and sound, several Hampshire High School Students representing band and orchestra visited GDW along with the HHS band and orchestra teachers and HMS band, orchestra, and choir teachers. We were so excited to hear the incredible musicianship from students playing a variety of recent hits and classical works on instruments including flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, percussion, violin, viola, cello, and bass. The HHS band and orchestra students provided our Wildcats with some excellent advice. These HHS students were amazing role models for our students and we are so appreciative of them taking the time to visit us!
